Mike has been a leader in the legal profession having served as President of the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association, the Kansas Bar Association Board of Governors and the Johnson County Bar Association Board of Directors. Currently, Mike serves on the Johnson County Bar Association Foundation Board. In 2020, Kansas Governor Laura Kelly appointed Mike to the Kansas Court of Appeals Nominating Commission. In 2023, Governor Kelly appointed Mike to the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission.
